Antenatal Classes in Cornwall
5* rated antenatal classes in Cornwall that’ll give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to make your birth your own…
Looking for antenatal classes in Cornwall?
Cornwall is everything to me: I grew up on the beaches and bridleways, have taught schools across the county, married a proud Cornishman and am raising two young Cornish maids.
Now I am on mission to pay it back by helping the next generation of Cornish parents find their birth & baby confidence is my mission.
The truth is that is Cornish folk aren’t the same as the rest of the country.
Our way (and pace) of life, our twisty little roads between distant towns, and our single hospital set-up means that the Cornish experience of pregnancy, birth and parenting often looks and feels different to elsewhere.
It also looks and feels different from family to family.
I know this because I live this, every single day…
My own journey into motherhood and my day-to-day life as a working birth doula in Cornwall has given me an insider’s eye into what it’s like to prepare for parenthood beside the Cornish coastline.
That’s why I teach antenatal courses the way I do.
I use every ounce of my lived professional and personal experience means to create modern antenatal classes that are wholly relevant, realistic and useful.
… for the births my clients are preparing for.
… for the lifestyles they lead.

Antenatal classes in Cornwall: FAQ
-
Yes absolutely!
Not only am I a FEDANT registered and certified antenatal teacher, I am also a certified and practising birth and postnatal doula. This means I am able to bring a brilliant balance of theory and working practice in the birth and postnatal space in my antenatal classes.
Plus, I am an expert and experienced teacher: before this life, I taught GCSE and A-Level English for over 14 years. So I don’t just know my birth and baby stuff, I know how to deliver it in an engaging and effective way too.

Birth work takes me all across the county, both as a doula and an antenatal teacher.
When you book a 1-2-1 course with me, I come to your home (wherever that may be this side of the Tamar) to deliver it, meaning you have total comfort and convenience at all times.
My group antenatal course is based at The Family Space in Threemilestone: I work here because it is the most perfect environment to deliver antenatal courses. It’s light, airy, comfortable and far more pleasant than a village hall! Definitely worth the travel time.

This is easy: because I’ll be focused on you.
As a working doula, I know just how individualised birth and baby-life is.
As a Cornish doula, I know how unique our set up can be.
Unlike big name brands, there’s nothing standardised or generic about the antenatal classes I deliver. Every single course is planned, tweaked and tailored to suit the parents-to-be I’m working with, and the experiences you’re likely to face.
This is a level of personalisation that big name brands just cannot match.
