Antenatal Classes in Redruth…

Gemma Kitto from Born to Birth Cornwall relaxed and smiling as she prepares to meet pregnant people for birth preparation workshops and antenatal classes.

Positive birth experiences start with your preparation. So let’s get started…

Pregnant in Redruth?

Here’s my thinking: you deserve to get that ‘birth and baby ready’ feeling in the way you want, without having to travel up the A30 (or worse, country lanes!) for hours.

Bringing high-quality, useful and practical antenatal education to families in and around Redruth is my passion; this is my home & bringing the next generation of Murdoch Day parents into their stride with confidence is my mission!

Why? Well, because I’ve lived it.

The memories I have of my antenatal journey are all about long travel times (ah, Cornish life!), uncomfortable seating (ah, pregnant life) and awkward group situations (ah…. British life?).

Preparing to meet my baby felt more like a hassle than a joy, and that is absolutely not okay.

That’s why I deliver antenatal classes the way I do.

Since 2023, I’ve helped families across Redruth, Pool and Camborne to feel calm & confident about birth with bespoke private antenatal courses delivered in their own home, or small group courses delivered from my base in Scorrier, just a hop-skip-and-a-jump from you.

Take a look at how I can help you…

  • Yes! As a certified birth & postnatal doula, I am qualified to prepare families for birth and what lies beyond. In March 2023, I’ll complete my Perinatal Education diploma which is FEDANT recognised.

  • Because to me, you are an individual. By adapting my resources, my session plans and my content to your situation, I make sure you get what you need out of our time together.

  • Are there free antenatal and birth prep resources out there? Yes, absolutely. Are they designed and delivered by a teacher with 14 years experience, with the insight and practical skills of a doula & mum of two? Not so much.

The cost of each package reflects a balance between quality and accessibility.
